Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. They relocated to Oxfordshire when she was five and enrolled in an academy called the Dragon School. Emma was aspired to be a professional actress when she was just aged six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute that offers part-time classes. The actress had performed in several Stagecoach or school shows before she was ten years old. In 1999 casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered as a casting agent through her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been picked for these parts. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's screen debut came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in 2001. The most successful film of 2001, the film set records for its debut day opening and the opening weekend's earnings. Critics were impressed with the movie and its performances. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British paper, praised her for her outstanding performance. Emma's performance was nominated and was awarded five awards for the film.
